A Holiday Story & Why I love Sun Country More and more… (From SunCountry news article).

This morning one of Sun Country’s ticket agents, Kyle Anderson, assisted an 87-year-old woman with her check-in. The woman’s daughter had bought her a $167 round-trip ticket to visit her brother for a surprise Christmas party in Dallas/ Ft. Worth – she was extremely excited. When checking in, Kyle became confused because he could not find her reservation. As it turns out, the woman’s daughter paid someone to purchase the ticket online. The friend accepted the money, but did not finish the transaction – hence no reservation. The family surprise Christmas event, in Dallas/ Ft. Worth, was very important to the family since they had not seen one another for years. As things couldn’t possibly get worse, the woman found out she did not have the money to purchase her ticket that she once thought was paid for: today’s fare was $305. After realizing the surprise family trip was no longer a reality – their eyes suddenly filled with tears and they became overwhelmed with sadness. While this was going on, another passenger who was traveling to Ft. Myers was checking in and overheard the family’s hardship. The man unexpectedly stepped to Kyle’s ticket area, presented his credit card, and requested to put the woman’s ticket on his card, round trip. In addition, he requested she be upgraded to first class. He humbly refused (stating he wanted no recognition) to provide his name to the family, but told them to all have a blessed holiday. Everyone at the ticketing counter was in tears.
